The Chase Bays Power Steering Kit for BMW E46 M3 was the most challenging system we’ve developed for. BMW M made MANY mistakes and revisions. There are recalls and changes in BMW’s system. A simple one kit fits all wasn’t so simple. The S54 power steering pumps puts out a substantial amount of output pressure compared to other power steering pumps. The rack is not built to regulate this without causing aeration or overheating. Because of this, this kit is ONLY sold with a cooler. As well, Chase Bays developed a fitting and hose to decrease the fluid pressure and speed before the fluid hit the rack.

This Power Steering Kit is designed to eliminate the common factory power steering leaks, fluid spillover, and overheating issues with improved aesthetics, durability, and stealthy design. It is a full 100% upgraded A.N. Hose and Fitting replacement of the stock reservoir and hoses. From the reservoir to pump to rack (and cooler if upgraded). ALL Hose and Hose Ends are BMRS aka Brown and Miller Racing. This is the best Hose/Hose Ends in the world, the same components seen on NASCAR and Indy Car. All the Fitting Adapters are designed and manufactured by Chase Bays to be chassis specific for perfect leak free installs._x005f_x000b_

Our over-engineered Triple-Baffled Power Steering Reservoir (aeration and spillover proof) is at the core of this kit. As an option we offer an aluminum heatsink cooler that mounts directly to the steering rack for easy install and additional airflow._x005f_x000b_Chase Bays only uses the highest quality components available. Our reservoir is constructed of 6061 aluminum and is anodized black with a laser etched cap. The reservoir itself uses our Delrin Shim to conveniently uses the OE BMW Reservoir Bracket (side note: This allows our Reservoir to be installed into virtually any BMW).

Heatsink Cooler
Our inline heatsink cooler is a MUST for any and all track cars. The S54B32system is toofinicky to not. Our cooler is all aluminum extruded and blackanodized for a durable stealthy finish. It is very compact but effective. Weve seen 30degree F drops in temperature from this coolerwith the heatsink design plus airflow. Furthermore MAKE SURE you duct this cooler if you run theunder tray,other wise its going to turn into aheater for the fluid and have the adverse effect.

Hoses and Adapters
The high-pressure rack to pump hose is -6AN stainless steel, Teflon PTFE lined, and black PVC coated. This coating is crucial, it makes the hose resistant to chaffing if it routes against metal or a fellow hose. The -6AN rack to reservoir and -10AN reservoir to pump hoses are abrasion resistant, black nylon sheathed, and SS reinforced. They are all completed with high end black aluminum AN fittings.
